St. Vrain Creek – 28F

We took a trip up the St. Vrain Creek and cut a hole in the ice. Usually when you get in cold water your body heats up a thin layer of water around you body and provides a sensation of ‘warmth’. In this scenario it was constant cold water flowing over my body, constant 28F water continuously replenishing and sucking and heat out of my skin and body. A new level of numbness here!
